The nautical sector in Mallorca is the most recognized at national and European levels and we would dare to say that it is in the “TOP 10” worldwide.
Any company that decides to establish its base here must compete on professionalism, but few of these companies decide to hire the services of professional captains due to the low percentage of year-round work, so their boats end up being sailed by brokers, mechanics, or managers of the company instead of sailing experts.
OCEANGIPSY was born from the need to cover this or other needs of the maritime sector with experience that supports us since 1996.
Our objective is to professionalize this part of the sector so that those clients who intend to reach the most elite destinations of sports navigation, can find the professionalism and security they seek.

I did not hesitate to devote myself to it as soon as I
was old enough to work.
My beginnings were in 1996 as a sailor in the yacht club of my hometown, Oropesa del Mar on the banks of the Mediterranean, with 18 years I got my first professional diving certificate, and this stage would last 14 years, alternating jobs as a skipper and I got to have my own company of underwater work called HELIOX, during this time I made all kinds of work such as dredging, rescue, refloating, cutting and welding, underwater blasting, etc.
In 2012 I came to Mallorca in search of a job because due to the economic crisis my sector was faltering. Mallorca allowed me to enter the world of yachting, both in private companies and for individuals sailing more than 15.000 miles per year.
In 2018 and after having acquired many contacts all over the Mediterranean, I decided to become self-employed. Since then I have handled all kinds of boats, ranging from small yachts to pleasure boats and sailboats and in all kinds of weather conditions.
After 24 years of experience as a professional maritime operator with the desire to continue learning, I created the company OCEANGIPSY to offer my services as a captain.
I have a friendly and cheerful character with a high capacity for resolution due to my training and extensive experience in various sectors. Sharing a great passion for the sea, I am ready to take care of your boat and the people on board.

LAURA TOGNETTI
DECK RATING
Able to perform night and day watches as she has repeatedly demonstrated with great professionalism and has a natural gift for handling ropes in port maneuvers in adverse weather conditions.
Qualified as a tailoring and design technician, she is the right person to perform a sail repair in any weather conditions.
She has been part of our team since 2017 and embarks as a deckhand on large yacht transfers when a full crew is required.
ANDRE KOETH
LOGISTICS AND ON-SHORE OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
University degree: BSc in Nautical Sciences (4 years study in Northern Germany).
Nautical titles: First Officer 3.000GT, STCW 95; Sporthochseeschifferschein (German Yacht Master Ocean).
After studying nautical science in Germany, Andre Koeth joined the German Navy as a nautical officer and worked aboard supply ships as an Officer of the Watch sailing around the world for several years.
After studying in the military navy he served as First Officer aboard Mega Yachts + 100m, also being responsible for crew management and refits.
He is part of our team as logistics and on-shore operations coordinator.
MARIO ALFREDO
NAVAL MECHANIC
Specialist, responsible and meticulous in his work, with 43 years of experience and knowledge in tasks developed in various companies as well as individual services.
Skilled in problem detection and resolution.
Excellent in communication and time management.
43 years as a mechanic and marine surveyor further endorse his professionalism.
Mario is part of our company since 2017 and embarks as a marine mechanic in motorboat transfers.
ALBERTO ARACIL
SKIPPER
Alberto Aracil Kessler, an expert skipper as testified by his more than 150,000 miles sailed.
Raised on coastal docks, he began his sailing career at the age of 6, racing Optimists to professional offshore sailing races in his youth.
Six Atlantic jumps, the whole Mediterranean from East to West, the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea, and the West African coast are some of the waters that have imprinted his seafaring character and his addiction to the waves and the sea.Alberto is part of our company since 2018, a fundamental member when we carry out sailboat transfers since the minimum team is formed by two captains to guarantee the work.
